MuscleTech Ephedra Free Hydroxycut Review

Not too long before Xenadrine RFA-1 got discontinued, Muscletech also reformulated their old Hydroxycut and came out with an ephedrine free Hydroxycut. Ephedra has been a big issue ever since it was introduced in fat burners, and it appears that ephedrine is on its way out - due to its many unwanted side effects and health risks.

Not too much has changed in the "new" ephedra free Hydroxycut... Other than that it doesn't have ephedra in it anymore. You can read our review of the ephedra free hydroxycut here.

From the many feedback and user reviews I've received on the "old" hydroxycut and also the "new" ephedrine free Hydroxycut, I would have to say the old version is more effective. The reviews I've received on the new hydroxycut are fairly evenly split vouching for and against the new ephedra free Hydroxycut.

User reviews of the new Hydroxycut is posted below.

Ephedra Free Hydroxycut User Reviews and Feedback

Ephedra Free Hydroxycut User Review

I have been using the Ephedrine-Free Hydroxycut for one full complete cycle. I have experienced the same results as the previous form of Hydroxycut, but without the headaches. I use to use Xendrine but it caused to many headaches and shakes, so I switched to Hydroxycut.

Only when I completed a cycle and no longer where taking the old version of Hydroxycut, is when I experienced headaches. I have had no side effects from the ephedra free Hydroxycut.

Ephedrine Free Hydroxycut Feedback

I recently read some things on your website and noticed that you asked for input about the new ephedrine free hydroxycut. I don't know how much information you've received from people who have tried it, but I have tried the new and the old. I must say that I am certainly dissapointed in the new hydroxycut. The only benefit of the new hydroxycut is that I don't worry about the increased heart rate associated with the old ephedrine based hydroxycut. I was truly amazed at the original formula, and I had astonishing results. I am not impressed with the new formula. I feel like it doesn't do anything at all. I don't know if that helps, but I thought I would let you know that the new stuff is definitely not worth buying.
Thanks for reading.

Ephedra Free Hydroxycut Review

I am a 'mature' female bodybuilder and have been taking Ephedrine free Hydroxycut for about 3 weeks. I started with the recommended dose of 1 three times daily for the first week, then 2 three times daily and now take the full dose of 3 three times daily.

I experienced a bit of a buzz at the beginning of the program and now feel as though my sleep is disturbed a little, although nothing serious. (I rest during the day, which is also great recovery for muscles)

I have lost 3 pounds and a lot of fat. Since I workout with a trainer and heavy weights, I have not lost a lot of poundage but have noticed a great improvement on my overall physical appearance and my clothes fit very well, in a relatively short period of time.

I would recommend this product to anyone who is healthy and is looking for muscle definition and fat reduction.

It is also a good idea to use Creatine and L-Glutamine, especially after a workout and loads of Protein. A good multivitamin is a must!

Hydroxycut Ephedrine Free Feedback

I used the hydroxycut with ephedra about 1 year and loved it. Now the hydroxycut without ephedra really doesn't give me that extra boost. I miss the way I use to feel with the ephedra. The new hydroxycut gives me a headache as well. I believe that the consumer should have a choice to which they want and the ephedra shouldn't have been taken out of all the hydroxycut pills. Why can't both be offered?

Hydroxycut EF User Feedback

AWFUL!!

I thought it would be ok because of it not having ephedra BUT I did not realize the caffeine would have such effects. I have been taking it a week three times a day and have not been myself. I called my friend crying and we put together it is the caffeine.
Now I know why "real" health people tell you to stay away from caffeine. I feel for all the people who are having side effects from it and don't even know it :(

I'll just keep eating better..................and better!

Hydroxycut Ephedra Free user Feedback

Just a review of my 5wks. of use. My first three wks. (first wk. 1 pill three times a day, second wk. 2 pills a day) I lost about 3-5 pds. I have been working out primarily on a treadmill pretty faithfully for 5 days a week. My workouts lasted about 40 min. and were at speeds of 3-5 mph. and inclines of 4-7%. I also have been doing Pilates with workout bands. Week four I lost another 6 pds. began my 3 pill regimen, and began to experience the shakes, dizziness, lightheadedness, and nausea. I consulted with a trainer at Warren Nutrition who suggested a Muscletech power bar to help increase energy, and give me more nutrition. I got diahrea. I have as of today discontinued use to see if I can't stabilize my system, and wonder if the
Hydroxycut is the culprit?

Ephedra Free Hydroxycut Review

I have used Hydroxycut for a while now. I first read about it in a news article in the fitness mag I usually buy at the stand. I did some research and figured I should try it. It has worked so well for me. I am not overtly fat but there is this layer of fatty tissue I have problems getting rid of. While taking This product I have greatly reduced this layer of unwanted substance. I will continue to use Hydroxycut as long as it keeps performing for me.

Also I would like to comment on the fact that they took out the Ephedra. I Thank The Maker of Hydroxycut for bringing me this product. But even more Thanks goes to the man who took out the Ephedra. I was worried about the content of Ephedra in Hydroxycut and the effects it would have on me. While I haven't had any severe side effects I am confident that I will experience even less without Ephedra in Hydroxycut.

Hydroxycut Ephedrine Free User Review

hi, i was surfing the web and decided to look up hydroxycut and look at other people's opinion of the drug since i'm currently on it and i saw that you wanted people's reviews on the new ephedrine free hydroxycut. i've been using it off and on for about 2 months now. i'm 19 years old and when i started taking the pills i weighed almost 130 pounds. when i first started, i was taking 3 pills before meals, 3 times a day. i wasn't doing a great job of keeping a healthy diet and i wasn't working out regularly but nevertheless, after about 2 weeks, my friends noticed that i looked thinner.

i went off of them for about 3 weeks and gained a few pounds back but then went back on them, this time eating healthier and working out more often and i noticed results in about a week. in all, i lost about 10 pounds. i'm also able to work out harder and for a longer period of time. the downside? sometimes i'll feel like i'm lightheaded and drugged up or i'll have nausea. the directions say to take the pills 30 minutes to an hour before eating and sometimes i have trouble doing that since i don't know exactly when i'll be eating and if i don't eat within the hour, i'll feel sick and hot.

i also have trouble getting to sleep once in a while even if its been more than 5 hours since i last took the pills. when the caffeine wears off from these pills and i'm usually more exhausted then i normally would be. so, i'll try to go to sleep and can't. but most of theses problems don't happen on a daily basis, just once in a while and sometimes, drinking water will help with me feeling lightheaded i also noticed when i went into rite-aid to stock back up on ephedrine free hydroxycut, it was pretty expensive compared to other weightloss pills. i paid $20 for 70 pills, but if i take a total of the recommended 9 a day, they will only last me a week while the stacker 2s with ephedrine only recommended a total of 3 a day in an 100 count bottle for $35 which would last a lot longer. but i had heard bad things about ephedrine so i decided to not go with that. so, even though i haven't ever tried ephedrine pills so i can't compare, i would still recommend ephedrine free hydroxycut.

sincerely,

Hi, love your reviews - they are really helpful. I lost over 50 lbs on the
original version (w/ephedra) and the new version is a waste of $. I do not
feel any thermal effects or any energy.

Hydroxycut EF Feedback

I have used the ephedrine free hydroxycut for 2 cycles and I have not experienced any results at all. I thought I'd try it for longer than one cycle to see if it took longer to work. It didn't work for me at all, I'm very disappointed. I never had any side effects from the original version of hydroxycut, I don't see why they changed it. I guess people who shouldn't have been using it did anyway. It only takes one to ruin it for the rest of us.

Hello, I am writing to give you feedback on my experience using Efedra Free
Hydroxycut. First I want to thank you for your valuable article which gave
me solid information which is the reason I went ahead and tried it to began
with. I reluctantly tried Efedra Free Hydroxycut thinking that it may be a
waste of money and I had concerns that it may not help with any weight loss,
I found that not to be true. Just after one week of using the supplement and
exercising I immediately starting seeing results and continue to loose
weight. So as one big skeptic I give it two major thumbs up!

I am one week into using the new efedra free hydroxycut. I decided to look a little more into this
and see what it is all about and just finished reading what you had to say about it. What I can tell you about my experienced is that every diet pill I ever tried made me sick. With the hydroxycut I do not get the sick feeling or the jitters. What does happen is that I do not desire to eat as much. And it isn't totally a suppressant thing. Though it curbs the appetite for me my big problem is even when full I want to eat. On the pills I no longer desire the food. As an example Halloween just passed and normally I would have gone threw half the candy (which is a lot).
I can count how many pieces I have had on my fingers. I am not sure if the weight will come off but I plan to stick to this threw the bottle to see. I hope this helps with your survey.

Hello, I thought I would let you know about my experience with the ephedra free hydroxycut. I had never really done any excersise on my own except for being in sports in high school. I wouldn't call myself "buff" but I did make some muscle gains lifting in high school but I had a lot of fat along with it. My weight when I started college was 220. So after my first year of college and no attention from the ladies I decided to start working out. I joined a local fitness club. I went in as a total amatuer but I did some research on how to exersise. I wanted to put on some muscle but mostly wanted to lose weight.

I went to my local GNC and they recomended Hydroxycut. I took it as recomened. I would use the treadmill about once every 2 or 3 days at a fast walking pace, about 4 mph, with some lifting in between. I did this for the 4 months I was out of school for the summer. When I entered my second year of college my weight was down to 175 pounds. I had never experienced this kind of weight loss before. I felt so much better about myself and people couldn't beleive it was me. Hydroxycut is the only supplement I have ever tried so maybe there are others out there that work also, but I know this worked for me. It might not for everyone, but I would definately recommend trying it.

Thank You,
Matt Jasper

Hi I just came across your review of the Hydroxycut formula ephedra free...I've tried that, in very small doses: I don't follow the recommended amount of 3 in the morning, 3 before lunch and 3 before dinner by the third week of usage, I think that is a bit ridiculous. I was just taking one in the morning. I can say it definitely does give you more energy, I dropped down my caffeine usage (I've never been a big coffee drinker anyway, but I scrapped the odd cup of java) and I was whizzing through my day at work with more alertness and concentration and yep it gave me the extra boost to work out in the evenings after a hard day at the office.

I mean obviously I wasn't prancing around the gym or the pool like a bunny on speed, but it definitely made a difference! No heart palpitations, no dizzyness, monthly cycle absolutely fine and as normal, maybe slightly heavier some months, which is a strange side effect, as I would have thought they would err on the lighter side, but no matter, it made me thirstier but that's to be expected, and with one pill a day or two maximum, it's fine, for the average girl who wants to work out three to four times a week and not have life dominated by it. Yes definitely lost fat and increased in muscle, and appetite was suppressed and looked a lot more streamlined, so I can imagine someone who does take the full doses and eats a high protein diet with the recommended 5 small meals a day, and works out etc, it will make a difference. But it was absolutely fine and I used it for 3 months. For me it was mainly the difference at the end of long day to beable to say, work out? can I be bothered? yes, you can move, move your butt!

Hey,
My name is Tony, I am 22 and I only have 2 years of experience in weight lifting. I recently used Hydroxycut hopeing that it would help me get rid of my only problem area, which is my stomach. I didnt really notice any significant results with it, I also have to say that I didnt do the recommended 30 minute walk per day, but I did workout 3 times a weak with a 15 minute warm up on tread mill. I skipped the walking because if I do it, then fat loss could be the result of me doing the cardio, who the hell doesnt know that running and walking wouldnt help them loose weight. Well, I wont recommend anyone to take Hydroxycut, its just another overly adevertised supplement.

I have had 9-major spine surgeries in the last 10-years. Sometimes it is impossible for me to get around at all. I have been taking hydroxycut -ephedrafree for the last 8-months. I take 1-capsule a day. I cannot believe how much it helps me. Thankyou. I hope I have helped in some way.

What's going on Jim.

I just read your review for "ephedra-free Hydroxycut". I just want to say that when I first bought the stuff, I thought it was a god-send. But I quickly came to realizing that it wasn't. Yes, it did indeed burn some fat off of me, but I paid DEARLY for it: on one occasion(and I was counting), I stayed up for 44 straight hours! this stuff had me bouncing off the walls day in and day out. Even though that did help me with my workouts most of the time, I got to say that I wouldn't recommend this stuff to anybody that wasn't in prison or had pretty much nothing to do.

Your fan and constant reader, Sean Murray.

Hi Jim,

Having used the old style hydroxycut (before they withdrawn), I've been trying to get my hands on the new Ephedra free tablets in the UK, but all the places I know that used to stock them do not know when they will be getting them, and the mail order process takes too long.

Recently, however, I was fortunate enough to go on a business trip to New York, and picked some up while I was over there (140 capsules for $35, which when you factor in the exchange rate to the pound, means I'm saving myself about £20, and getting 40 extra capsules into the bargain).

Anyway, I was hugely impressed with the effects that the old hydroxycut had...that was until I started using the new stuff. I have only been taking them for a week (2 capsules, 3 times a day rather than the 3 capsules as recommended), but I cannot believe how effective they are.

I work out 4 times a week, and have a good high protein, low fat diet. I currently weigh 180lbs and my body fat percentage was 11%. Within a week of taking the tablets my body fat percentage is now 9%, and I'm also very, very much more noticeably cut.

As for side-effects, the only ones I noticed was having a little difficulty sleeping (although it's my own fault as I didn't realise you shouldn't take them 5 hours before bedtime as the caffeine will keep you awake!), I wasn't as hungry as I usually was and I kept yawning a lot (I wasn't tired, but it was probably linked with the trouble I had sleeping).

I know that most people acknowledge hydroxycut to be one of the best fat burners on the market, but having used the new formula, I would say that if anyone is looking for an effective fat burner they should definitely use them.

Kind Regards,

Kevin Rockhead

Tried it for the first time, the new caffeine free one. Made me grind my jaw till it ached and gave me a mouthful of canker sores.

Yuck!

Bill Hutchcroft

I've been taking hydroxy cut for about a month now. I'm not anything close to being overweight, but I am big on lifting weights and felt the need to lower my body fat percentage to build a more defined look. Combined with a moderate, yet consistent, diet program and a steady cardio routine, I've lost a good 10 lbs while still making strength gains. I noticed an immediate boost in energy during work-outs, and a decrease in appettite.

As far as dosage goes, I find that its best to guage your tolerance to the product in order to maximize its benefits. Start on the recommended 1 pill 3 times daily and if you find the product not working as well as you'd like it to, increase it a bit....if the side-effects are starting to get to you, decrease the dosage. Currently, I'm taking 3 pills twice daily and its been working fine for me. I usually have difficulty sleeping if I take it any more than twice daily.

This product does what it claims if you're willing to put the work into it. It isn't a magic pill that'll simply make the fat disappear, but it is a good supplement to a healthy lifestyle. Dieting AND excersise is the quickest way to lose weight obviously. By providing a boost in energy for cardiovascular routines while decreasing appettite to support a good diet, this product should help just about anybody who approaches its use properly.

-Langston

Hydroxycut is very powerful stuff. I started taking it 5 days ago. The day I started taking it I went on a diet and started exercising. I am taking the recommended dosage. In those five days I had some fat loss. I went from size 36 pants to size 34 pants in those five days. I don’t know if this is typical for someone taking hydroxycut. But it works.

Hello. I would like to share my experience about Hydroxycut ephedra free. I purchased a 140 caps bottle of hydroxycut at GNC on July 2003. I did not notice the side effects because it was more on my behavior. By the way, my height is 5'9" and 195 pounds. Im 20 years old and only a few months from graduating. Then I started getting lazy in school. I skipped and just slept all day. Though I lift weights everyday. I lost 10 pounds after consuming the 140 caps bottle. I never bought hydroxycut again because its too expensive, until January 2004. I bought 2 210 cap bottles and 1 140 caps bottle. Then I noticed that, out of the blue, i would get this sudden irritable mood that makes me want to hit my head on the wall.It became apparent that I always argue about small things which i never do since im a quiet person.my mood swings were uncontrollable.and that happened also when i consumed my first bottle of hydroxycut.although i stopped using it,im slowly getting a hold of myself now.im using optimum nutrition whey and cell-tech to reach my goals and i really have some improvements.but man, hydroxycut ephepra free really destroyed my dreams of earning a degree.im a lowlife bum now.though im planning to go back to school again next school year..

Been using EF since December-- have loaded up on water, watched fat intake and faithfully worked out (walk 4 miles 3+ times per week plus kickboxing & weights 6 days per week). Lost 38 lbs to date. :-) Hydroxycut EF doesn't give you that NASTY high feeling that metabolife did!!!!

- Patricia

I just wanted to let you know that I started taking Hydroxycut Ephedra Free in January and since then I have lost 48 lbs. I have also been on a healthy diet and have worked with a personal trainer since the end of January, but I love the results of Hydroxycut Ephedra Free.

I have gone from a size 12-14 to a size 6 and I stand 5'9.5" so I'm looking good. I have stopped taking Hydroxycut for now since I am trying to maintain the weight I am at now, but I know if I need to lose then I will reach for the Hydroxycut Ephedra Free.

PS: I have tried almost everything that has been on the market for the past year and nothing has worked except the Hydroxycut.

Thanks for letting me share.
